The latest PCR machine by MBS has been improved in every possible aspect, using MBS Heat transfer technology. These improvements were of such a scale that the inventors named the machine: Next Generation PCR.
The instrument has ramp rates of more than 1000 degrees per second. Go from melting to annealing in less than 0.1 second. Total PCR reaction time is between 2 and 10 minutes.
The key benefits of the NG-PCR machine are:
- Speed. PCR in only two minutes; incredible, but true.
- Throughput. Thanks to the higher speed, far more samples can be processed. If you use 384 well plates, no fewer than 30.000 data points can be created in one working day.
- Cost. More samples per machine means fewer machines. Fewer machines means lower maintenance costs, less staff and lower investment requirements.
- Energy. With a power consumption of only 25 watt, the NG-PCR machine can truly be called energy efficient.
