High-Performance Time-Resolved Fluorescence Microplate Reader
The RUBYstar enables highly sensitive time-resolved fluorescence detection by applying europium chelate or cryptate fluorophores. These compounds are excited with the high-energy laser and show long fluorescence lifetimes (several hundred microseconds), large Stoke's shifts and intensive fluorescence peak profiles at 620 nm. Therefore with the RUBYstar, backgrounds are reduced and the signal-to-noise ratio is increased, so giving maximum sensitivity.
- The fastest and most sensitive HTRF® in the world
- High energy laser light source (337 nm)
- Single photon counting detection system
- Sensitive measurements for reading low reagent concentrations
- Low volume reading in 384-well format
- Faster reading times (<3 min for 384-well format)
- Standard mode programming for HTS-readings
- Advanced mode programming for highest flexibilities (e.g. with decay curve monitoring)
- Simultaneous dual emission measurements at 620 nm and 665 nm
- Real time quenching correction by ratio calculation (US patent 5,527,684)
