The PHERAstar Plus is the premier multidetection HTS microplate reader with Simultaneous Dual Emission (SDE) detection in all modes. The PHERAstar Plus is the ONLY HTS microplate reader on the market with five photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) optimized and automatically selected for specific reading modes. This ensures that your assay is read with highest sensitivity, a feature that no other microplate reader offers.
Due to the unique modular optical system, sequential dual excitation, simultaneous dual emission, and ratiometric calculations, such as for FRET and BRET, the PHERAstar Plus performs all assays with ease and speed. BMG LABTECH offers assay optimized and barcoded optic modules for your applications with appropriate filters, mirrors, beamsplitters, dichroics or polarizers incorporated into one hand-held module. Once inserted, the PHERAstar Plus automatically selects the proper module for your assay protocol. Never worry about what dichroic, aperture, or filter is installed in your microplate reader.
The PHERAstar Plus provides superior sensitivity, speed and dynamic range. Not only does it support endpoint readings, but is also capable of kinetic measurements and well scanning with better control and flexibility than competing readers.
- TR-FRET decay monitoring - can collect TR-FRET curves with 2 µs resolution - in real time
- Real-time display - get kinetic curves as the data is collected. View raw data, graphs, color pictorials - all in real time as the machine is running
- Well scanning up to 30 x 30 data points per well with evaluator to allow you to select points or areas to use for quantitation
- Kinetic data can be collected as quickly as 50 reading points per second or as slowly as one measurement every 2 1/2 hours.
No detection mode is compromised to accommodate the multifunctionality of the PHERAstar Plus. The PHERAstar Plus can read 6-1536 well plates with uncompromised sensitivity, - no need for special apertures or optics. Assay flexibility is further enhanced by precise temperature control to 45°C as well as multi-mode shaking capabilities. Automatic Z-height, gain adjustment, and plate mapping as well as the ability to export data in ASCII format complete the package.
The Stacker II is designed for integration with the PHERAstar Plus minimizing microplate handling. It provides loading, unloading, restacking and continous feeding of up to 50 microplates.
