The Hoefer SE410 is for 24 cm long gels. The same design as the SE400, the SE410 Sturdier is for labs that require extra long gels. Extra length is especially useful when separating complex mixtures of protein (crude cell extracts, for example). It is also useful with continuous buffer systems whose broad bands need the extra length.
