The Hoefer XP series Semi Dry blotters are the only semi-dry units that have a built-in intelligent power supply.
The intelligent built-in power supply can detect if the blot is drying out and when it does, it automatically stops the transfer, preventing the drying out of your blot, allowing you to rehydrate and then run the transfer.
The Hoefer TE77X and TE77XP Semi-dry transfer units have the same efficient design and outstanding features as the TE 70X and TE 70XP, but accommodate larger gels.
The TE77XP contains a built-in power supply
- In less than an hour, Semi-Dry Units do uniform and even electrotransfers of proteins and nucleic acids from polyacrylamide and agarose gels.
- Transfers up to three polyacrylamide gels in a stack.
- Requires only a small amount of buffer—just enough
to saturate blotter papers and membranes.
- Durable platinum and stainless steel electrodes assure contamination-free transfers.
- Because transfers require little current, Semi-Dry Units do not generate
the excessive heat that can distort gel bands or denature protein.
- A solid, sturdy unit. Foam-molded of Noryl plastic, it is also lightweight.
