A compact unit, the TE22 mighty small tank transfer can transfer proteins and nucleic acids from four small gels, up to 9 x 10 cm, to nylon membranes, nitrocellulose or other derivatized papers, in less than one hour.
- A uniform electric field for complete and even transfer: 155 cm of platinum wire in seven parallel strands on each electrode is the key.
- Outstanding temperature control with no more than 5 °C rise during a normal run ensured by alumina-covered serpentine channel in the base.
- Cassettes are easy to hold. Grooves inside the unit hold cassettes in place, applying equal pressure across the gel.
- Economical and safe. Minimal current, about 400mA. Requires only a small amount of buffer—about one liter.
