The program offers great flexibility to support the varying needs of clinical research applications. In the simplest case,assays are designed by a click, and they are immediately ready to be performed on the PSQ system. However, for specialised applications and needs, the program also supports substantial user interaction in the design process. Here are some examples of built-in functionality:

  • PCR- and sequencing primer settings and conditions can be changed.
  • Details about primer set analyses can be saved and/or printed for manual, informed selection of what primer set to use.
  • Primers can be edited to accommodate e.g. a universal primer tail.
  • Primer lengths and/or positions can be changed easily by drag-and-drop in the graphical user interface. Quality scores and other primer related information are updated in realtime.
  • One or two primers can be locked and compatible primers generated, or a complete set can be entered and analysed.

Figure: Results are displayed visually in the Sequence window. Primers can easily be modified, and quality scores are automatically updated.
