iCE280
Isogen Life Science is Convergent Bioscience's exclusive distributor for Europe. Convergent has developed the world's first CE instrument (iCE280), offering whole-column, imaged cIEF, which enables scientists to easily characterize difficult proteins. Enter the iCE280 Users Area for downloads on the posters and presentations from WCBP, usermeetings and other information like samples sheet, price lists consumables, etc. Live separationThe iCE280 system is suitable for:
AdvantagesCollect quantitative data unattendedBecause the iCE 280 uses absorption at 280 nm, you can use cIEF as separation technique in combination with and autosampler to provide quantitative data unattended. Save time and increase reproducibilityThe specially designed detection method, which uses the entire length of the separation column, obviates the need for tedious sample mobilisation. This saves valuable time and increases reproducibility. The patented whole column detection system allows the user to determine the optimum separation setting with a single injection. An example is shown in the figure. Determine pI with extreme reproducibilityBy using pI markers with the sample, the iCE280 can determine the pI of a protein with a reproducibility of 0.03 pI units. This can even be achieved with samples of different origin, since the pI markers will compensate for the sample matrix. Intrigued? Challenge us!Send us your sample. Click to download the sample request form at the bottom of this page. On this form you can also indicate which further information you would like to recveive about this technique For learning more about this technique, please download the presentation by clicking the iCE280 introduction file at the bottom of this page For even more - and more technical - information, please refer to the www.ciefforum.com, a non-commercial website recently established with over 100 research papers, application notes and technical presentations.
